Hi Gie, thanks for visiting my website. Unfortunately, I have no idea if there are shops that rent out motorcycles in the area. We got around by hiring a tricycle. It would be extremely cool exploring the region by motorcycle. Good luck in your search.

Hi! Our flight from Mla to Laoag will arrive ETD at 6 pm (hopefully without delay). I have 2 questions:

    1. Will there be buses/mini vans that still go to Pagudpud at those times
    2. If we are dropped off from the main highway, will there still be motorcycles/jeeps to bring us down to Maira-ira?

    Thanks!

Hi Royce, I’m not sure if there are trips to Pagudpud later than 6pm but that’s not very late so what I suggest is once you land, take a tricycle straight away from the airport to the town proper which isn’t very far. Get off at the bus terminal and catch the next bus or van that will be leaving. The trip from Laoag to Pagudpud takes about 1 and a half hours.

My friend and I stayed at a hotel in Saud Beach. There were many tricycles in queue waiting for passengers once we got off the bus so going to our hotel was rather easy. It took about 15 minutes. On the other hand, Maira-ira beach is quite far. We rented a tricycle to take us there the next day and it was a long way from Saud. Perhaps you should make arrangements with the hotel you’re staying at in Maira-ira to have someone pick you up once you arrive in Pagudpud. Hope that helps. Cheers!
